5-Day Shanghai and Yangtze Delta Itinerary:

DAY 1: 

Shanghai city exploration after airport pickup.

• The Bund (Waitan): Stroll along Shanghai's famous waterfront promenade featuring striking colonial-era buildings on one side and the futuristic Pudong skyline across the river.
• Nanjing Road: Experience one of the world's busiest shopping streets, stretching 5.5 km with hundreds of retail stores, from traditional Chinese specialty shops to modern malls.
• Jin Mao Tower Observation Deck: Ascend to the observation deck of this iconic 88-story skyscraper for breathtaking panoramic views of Shanghai's urban landscape.
• Huangpu River Cruise: End your day with an evening cruise along the Huangpu River, offering spectacular views of Shanghai's illuminated skyline from the water.

DAY 2: 

Journey to Wuxi and Suzhou.

• Three Kingdoms City (Sanguo City) in Wuxi: Visit this theme park and film studio where many historical dramas are filmed, featuring reconstructions of buildings from the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD).
• Humble Administrator's Garden (Zhuozheng Yuan) in Suzhou: Explore one of China's most famous classical gardens and a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its exquisite design, harmonious arrangement of pavilions and water features, and beautiful rockeries.
• Shantang Street (Shantang Jie): Take an evening stroll along this picturesque 1,200-year-old pedestrian street running parallel to a canal, featuring traditional architecture, bridges, and local shops.

DAY 3: 

Suzhou to Wuzhen.

• Lingering Garden (Liu Yuan) in Suzhou: Visit another masterpiece of Chinese garden design, known for its artificial mountains, halls, and beautiful water features.
• Wuzhen West Scenic Area: Travel to this well-preserved ancient water town with a history of over 1,300 years. The West Scenic Area is known for its authentic Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, traditional workshops, and evening light displays reflected in the canals.
• Overnight stay within the scenic area, allowing you to experience the tranquil atmosphere of the water town after day-trip tourists depart.

DAY 4: 

Wuzhen to Hangzhou.

• West Lake Cruise in Hangzhou: Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Hangzhou's iconic West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has inspired poets and artists for centuries with its pagodas, bridges, and islands.
• Songcheng Theme Park and Romance of the Song Dynasty Show: Experience this cultural theme park featuring replicas of Song Dynasty architecture and daily life, culminating with the spectacular "Romance of the Song Dynasty" performance that showcases Hangzhou's history and legends through music, dance, acrobatics, and special effects.

DAY 5: 

Free day and departure.

• Free time for personal exploration: Choose your own adventure on the final day. Options include:
  • Visiting Lingyin Temple, one of China's most significant Buddhist temples
  • Shopping at Hefang Street for souvenirs and local specialties
  • Exploring the China National Tea Museum to learn about Hangzhou's famous Longjing tea
  • Walking along the Su Causeway for more West Lake scenery
